December 11, 2021 – Mother of the Americas

The people of the Americas play a special role in the Church, a role given to us by Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Just as Mary was made pure so she could carry Jesus, we are also made pure so that we can carry Jesus.

In her Assumption, Mary shows forth in herself the same Resurrection all followers of Christ will share.

The Resurrection proves that Jesus can conquer sin and death, including and especially the sin and death in our lives.
