5th Sunday of Lent, Year A

It is incredible and extraordinary that Jesus rose a man from the dead! The Jews certainly thought so, and if we were to see Jesus do it, we would think so, too! It is unheard of. And yet, I am going to spend the rest of this homily trying to convince you that it ultimately doesn’t matter.

3rd Sunday of Lent, Year A

We have learned that most of us, and I am at the very top of this list, bring people to Jesus in all of the wrong ways, because we so often want to START with the moral questions, and this does not work! This is how we lose souls! Instead, Jesus shows us the way, in four stages, all of them loving.
