I listened to the wonderful four priest mass at St Joseph church podcast and wish somehow the recorded sound at Assumption parish had the same clarity of sound —- is there some way to fix that by running audio through the sound system instead in a cell phone on a tripod very far from the ambo?
there is so much echo more so with the other vicars when they come to Assumption

Fran – my podcasted homilies are all recorded through my cell phone sitting on the ambo in front of me. Any difference in sound quality on the podcast is due to the relative strength of the sound system (the louder it is in the church, the more echo-y on the podcast). Unfortunately for those in person, fortunately for the podcast, the Ferndale system is relatively weak.
The echo in person with the vicars is just a function of how large Assumption is. Priests have to learn to use the echo, but that does take some learning.
